The challenge

Istec set out to expand its vibration monitoring portfolio with a solution that would clearly stand out from the competition. The opportunity was in the middle segment of (critical) machinery, a large machine population that had so far gone largely unmonitored. Serving that segment called for a product that combines advanced measurement technology with a compact form factor, straightforward integration and room to scale. To develop and manufacture it, Istec partnered with EACH.

The solution

VibSys looks compact on the outside, but inside it is a technically demanding product, bringing together precision sensing, advanced electronics and embedded software in a very small footprint. Getting that right took a thorough, iterative development process. EACH’s engineering and production teams worked as one integrated team, in close collaboration with Istec. Each development cycle refined the design further, until it met Istec’s requirements for performance, reliability and manufacturability. EACH then took VibSys from final design into series production.

The result is VibSys, Istec’s new vibration monitoring solution, which outperforms competing solutions on several fronts. It is a complex solution, which is made easy to integrate and scale through an intricate design.
